I grew up in Atlanta, but am a diehard Chicago Cubs & Detroit Lions fan. I’m an engineer by training, but a biologist at heart. I went to Georgia Tech, and then learned how to do science at the NIH (where I met my lovely wife), Cornell, and the New York Genome Center. I have spent the last 8 years building tech to better understand the RNA molecules that make your cells work. I think better tools make better data, and better data make better medicines. I like to run and can quote more of the West Wing than the average viewer.
